AN INTERCESSORY MUSICAL RENDITION

Often intercession or prayer meetings are born or launched from the realm of the mind and extend from earth to heaven. In this CD you will experience a different approach. In this model the flow comes from what heaven is praying and it is discerned in the realm of the spirit. By quieting oneself and adopting a listing posture in order to “see what the Lord might be saying” the prayer comes down with clarity, agreement and force as opposed to sending prayer up through passion.
While there are many good models for corporate intercession the one demonstrated in this CD gives an immense place to creativity for the musician, those praying and most of all to heaven. The prayer time begins without any predetermined focus and the musicians do not play any familiar tracks or material. Everything is original and created or discerned during the secession.
After a simple prayer that invites the Holy Spirit to lead there is almost always around thirty or so minutes of no verbal prayer. As in II Kings 3:15 …and Elisha said bring me a minstrel and it came about when the minstrel played that the hand of the Lord came upon him (Elisha the prophet) and he said…it was the playing of the instrument that accessed heavens intentions and released change on earth.
As the musicians who are sensitive to the sounds of heaven begin to flow together musically in free style playing the thoughts and intentions of heaven are revealed. As the whole team begins to discern what heaven is praying this sets the stage of agreement “on earth as it is in heaven”. When the heaven-birthed prayer is discerned and then released it has tremendous power.
As the secession evolves there are ebbs and flows in both the musical expression and prayer. All flowing intermittently with listing, discerning and releasing.
